LTC

2011 was a very busy year for LTC. We taught over 7000 students in London, Brighton and Eastbourne and welcomed over 250 study-tour groups from around the world. We also relocated our London school to a larger modernised building in Ealing, West London. You can find our more about London’s courses, including its new afternoon general English courses and part time classes on this website.

2012 will move the focus to LTC Brighton, which is undergoing a makeover for its 40th birthday. The school first opened its doors as an Inlingua school in 1972. We don’t know how many students have been taught at Portland Road in 40 years but a conservative estimate would be 50,000, probably many many more.

The LTC London school has a new video to help celebrate its first anniversary in the school’s new building at 100 Warwick Road, Ealing. Featuring students studying at the school in September we hope that it gives everyone a flavour of the international atmosphere at the school. It also features lots of shots of Ealing and of course central London in the late summer sunshine! Watch and enjoy!

2013 sees the launch of new English and Business Skills Programme in partnership with the Pitman Training Centres is London, Brighton and Eastbourne.

You can still book courses at 2012 prices if your booking is made, and paid for, by the 31/12/12. This applies to tuition fees only. Accommodation and services will be charged at 2013 rates.

You can find details of our unique English + Business Skills courses on our Downloads Page.  For these courses, students study English at LTC in the mornings and then take a Business Skills course at the nearest Pitman Training Centres in London, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Pitman Training are one of Britain’s largest private providers of skills training for office work.  Their highly flexible courses are suitable for students of any nationality whose English is at intermediate level (B1).  They run both long and short courses that offer both practical training for vocational qualifications and opportunities for students to practise using their English outside the language classroom.

The British summer is an exciting time in our language schools. It’s a time when it seems the whole of Europe travels to towns and cities around the UK to learn English and enjoy the sunshine!

At LTC we try to use the web to provide as much information as possible to our students before they arrive. The idea is to ‘open a window’ onto the experience they’ll have in the UK at our schools in London, Brighton and Eastbourne. We believe that this means that students will arrive in the UK better prepared, more excited and also a little less nervous about their stay!

So if it’s information about the nearest coffee shop to the school for coffee addicts, the nearest place to play tennis for those inspired by Wimbledon, or the location of their homestay, our Google Maps are a great place to start the search for information.

With summer approaching fast and our summer courses beginning in Eastbourne and London next week, and Brighton the week after, we’d like to remind you that information about last minute availability and the status for weeks in later July and August can be found on our website on our availability page.

LTC London is moving to a new school building.

We’re very pleased to announce that in September 2011 LTC London will be relocating to a new and much larger building in Ealing. This will mean improved faculties for students and a school with a capacity of 200 students. More information will appear on the website and this blog over the next two months, but for now we’d like to share an ‘artist’s impression’ of the new building as it will look in September.
