LTC Brighton can arrange homestay accommodation for you.

This is an excellent way to experience British life and culture and get lots of practice using your English outside the classroom.

LocationOur homestay is normally no more than 25 minutes’ walking distance from the school or a short bus ride.
This is something many schools in Brighton cannot offer and means that all of our students can save on transport costs, except perhaps during the very busy summer months.Carefully Selected HomestayWe have high standards for our homestay accommodation. Our homestay providers are selected carefully to make sure they are kind and friendly and their houses and flats are clean and warm.

All homestay providers must follow the English UK code of practice.
It is important for us that you feel at home in your accommodation, so if there are any problems you can always talk to our Accommodation Officer.

There is a maximum of four students per house or flat and for adult students we promise that they will not speak the same language as you so that you have to speak English at home.

    Your Bedroom

You will have a single room unless you are coming with a friend or relative and have asked to share with them. Your bedroom will have:

    • A comfortable bed – at least standard size
    • A wardrobe and a chest of drawers
    • A mirror
    • A table, chair and lamp for studying (not always available for short term students at busy times).

The room will be cleaned at least once a week, and you will have fresh bed linen and towels every week. Your hosts will do one load of laundry per week for you.

    Food at Your Accommodation

Our homestay accommodation is usually half-board, which means you will receive breakfast and an evening meal every day. The breakfast will normally be toast, cereal and tea or coffee.

On school days, you can buy lunch from one of the cafes or shops next to the school.

We can also offer a bed and breakfast option, which means you can use the host’s kitchen to store the food you buy and cook your own evening meal. Some bed and breakfast accommodation is in Private Home Residential Accommodation, which means there may be more than four students in the house.

Please see all sections of the price pages to calculate the fees for your course.
