Course Structure for General English + IELTS Exam Preparation
Morning Classes
09:15-12:45 Monday to Friday
These classes focus on improving your General English: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
Your lessons are based on a modern coursebook, though your teacher will also bring in extra materials to make sure the course meets your specific needs.
(We lend you the coursebook. There are no extra fees.)
Afternoon Classes
13:45-15:15 Monday-Thursday
These classes focus on training you for the IELTS exam.
As well as tips and strategies, you will have extensive examination practice.
If your English is not yet good enough, you can study General English first until you are ready to transfer to Exam Preparation.
The fees for General English and Exam Preparation are the same, so there are no extra course fees.
Taking the IELTS Exam
You can take the IELTS exam in Eastbourne every month.

Course Structure for Cambridge Exam Preparation
Morning Classes
These classes focus on exam skills and techniques that are the same in different exams. There is also grammar and vocabulary input integrated with practice in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Afternoon Classes
These classes focus on the skills and strategies needed for the Cambridge Exam.
Coursebook
The lessons are based on a modern exam coursebook, though your teacher will also bring in extra materials to make sure the course meets your specific needs. We lend you the coursebook with no extra fees, though you may be asked to buy a workbook for approximately £20.
If your English is not yet good enough, you can join the General English course until you are ready to transfer to Exam Preparation.
The fees for General English and Exam Preparation are the same, so there are no extra course fees.
Taking the Cambridge Exam
Certificates and Reports
At the end of your studies with LTC you will be given a certificate and a report (provided you have attended at least 80% of your lessons).
Care of Students Under the Age of 18
Our Exam Preparation courses are for adult students (median age 20-22). However, if you are age 16 or 17, we can offer you a place and have special arrangements for your welfare.
We have staff who are trained to support you. They will get to know you individually and will help you if you have a problem or a question.
