
Exam Preparation
Here at LTC Eastbourne we offer courses to help with exam preparations. Courses include:
- General English + IELTS Preparation
- Cambridge First Exam Preparation (FCE)

General English + IELTS Examination Preparation
This exam preparation course is designed for students between Intermediate (B1) and Advanced (C1) levels.
The course will run both in the mornings and afternoons. In the morning, General English classes will work on all areas of English: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In the afternoon, classes will focus on tasks, strategies and practice for the IELTS exam.

We lend students a coursebook (there is no need for them to purchase one). Teachers will also bring extra materials to the lessons for students to keep. Should a student wish to purchase their own copy of a coursebook, we can advise where to purchase this from. IELTS examination books can cost between £30 and £35.
Taking the IELTS Exam
Students can take the IELTS exam in Eastbourne every month. For dates and fees regarding the IELTS exams, visit our Exam page.
Certificates and Reports
At the end of your studies with LTC Eastbourne, students will be given a certificate and a report (provided they have attended at least 80% of lessons).
Social Programmes
Whilst you study with us we will make sure you have plenty of time to have fun and make friends. We offer varied social programmes throughout the year for adult students which vary each week. We suggest students bring £15 per week to cover activity costs.
Care of Students Under the Age of 18
Our trained staff are available to support the student, with the intention of getting to know each student individually. The staff will be available to help if there are any problems or a questions. For more information on the care we provide for our under 18 students, see here.
Cambridge First Exam Preparation (FCE)
The Cambridge First Exam Preparation (FCE) is for Upper Intermediate level students only.
The course will run both in the mornings and afternoons. In the morning, classes will focus on exam skills and techniques, particularly grammar and vocabulary with practice of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Afternoon classes will then focus on the skills and strategies needed for the Cambridge First Exam Preparation.

Coursebook
Lessons are based on a modern exam coursebook. In addition to the coursebook, teachers will also bring extra materials to class to ensure the course meet specific needs. We lend students the coursebook for this course, free of charge, though students will be asked to buy a workbook for approximately £20.
