Private Home

Under British Council regulations, homestay providers can have a maximum of four students.  We have a number of homestay providers which take more than four students. These homestay providers are classed as Private Homes and are available for students aged 18 and over.

Any student staying in Private Homes will receive half-board meals. Lunch for adult students will be an additional cost. Adult students are welcome to bring their own lunch or they can buy a hot lunch at our school for £5, or a sandwich/soup for £3.50. Tickets are to be bought each day from the finance office.

LTC will arrange all Private Homes and will ensure:

  • The house is clean and comfortable with adequate heating and lighting
  • There is always privacy from members of the opposite sex

Your bedroom will have:

  • A comfortable bed
  • Sufficient hanging and drawer space for your clothes
  • A table, chair and lamp for studying (if this is not in the bedroom, you can use another table in a suitable room)

The room will be clean and you will have fresh bed linen and towels every week. Homestay providers will wash students clothes once a week.

Students will also have access to washing facilities and bathrooms on a daily basis.

All adult students have a single room unless you ask to share with a friend.

In busy periods, some adult students may be placed in Private Home accommodation rather than normal homestay options. Please tell us if you do not wish to stay in Private Home accommodation.
