Summer School runs from 22 June to 24 August 2014 The course includes lessons in the mornings and a busy social programme to make your stay interesting and enjoyable.
- To give you an experience of English as a living language that will motivate and inspire you to learn English
- To give you a language boost to increase your confidence and fluency, particularly in listening and speaking
- To help you improve the level of your English through a combination of language input and practice activities
- To help you develop the study skills that will enable you to continue to learn English after their course
- To increase your understanding of and sensitivity towards other cultures
We run classes at six levels:
Beginner (CEFR A1) Can use a few words at a basic level of communication.
Elementary (CEFR A1 – A2) Can communicate with enough language for basic needs and simple situations.
Pre-Intermediate (CEFR A2) Can communicate with enough language for everyday practical needs.
Intermediate (CEFR B1) Can communicate effectively in most situations but sometimes has to work hard to do so.
Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2) Can communicate effectively in most situations and usually can easily re-phrase in order to be understood.
Advanced (CEFR C1) Can communicate effectively in all but the most difficult situations.
You will take a test on the first day and your teachers will review your progress regularly. They will give you a report and certificate at the end of your course.

Shared homestay with a local family within easy traveling distance of the school. Most students walk and a few take a short bus ride. Your homestay provider will give you a packed lunch every day.
Please note that for legal reasons, we cannot offer homestay in one family for more than 28 days to students aged under 16. If you stay longer than 28 days, you must change your accommodation.
We have a busy social programme to make your stay interesting and enjoyable. Every week you will have one full-day excursion, one half-day excursion every Wednesday and a five other afternoon and evening activities.

Extra Costs: A travelcard for London Underground (about £18 per week for under-16s and £35 for older students). Money for entrances to expensive attractions such as Madame Tussaud’s or the London Eye (about £20 per week).

Care of Young Learners
We have dedicated staff who will look after you if you come to LTC London without an adult. They will get to know you individually and will always be there to help you if you have a problem or a question.
